“I just don’t understand the ‘public affairs’ part of yapa,” said Kathy Manderson, mother of Jerry Manderson ‘26. “I thought you were just majoring in International Affairs. Now I have to tell all my friends you’re majoring in yapa.”

“It just doesn’t sound right,” Kathy complained, completely devaluing the Watson Institute’s undergraduate program’s commitment to global citizenship and interdisciplinary knowledge. “Can I just say I-A-P-A? I’m gonna say I-A-P-A.”
