Haines, who recently self-published a book titled, “Having It All: A Successful, Sassy Mother Speaks Out,” encouraged all the moms out there to laugh at life’s little surprises and thank the universe every day for their children. All the moms out there tried to convince themselves that they were nothing like Haines, who then directly addressed her children watching at home.

Haines’s book, which she wrote and edited herself “with the generous support of the other book club women,” details her life as a working mother “trying to have it all even when it’s 2 a.m. and your hands are covered in glue and Rice Krispies.” All the moms out there watching Haines from their Rice-Krispie-covered couches assured themselves that they were usually very put-together and that they did not seem nearly as annoying when they talked about their own kids.

All the moms out there tried to distance themselves from the exhausted look in Haines’s eyes as she gave advice directly to the camera. “I want to talk to all the moms out there,” Haines said as the host tried to wrap up the interview. “I’ve certainly had days when I thought I couldn’t do it. I’ve been frustrated,” said Haines, as all the moms out there admitted that they had also had days when they thought they couldn’t do it. “But just look at me!” she said. “I’m keeping it together, and, hey, I even had time to write a book.”

All the moms out there tried not to think too hard about that time they stayed up late eating s’mores granola bars as Haines told the audience that she sometimes eats the same snacks as her child because their small portion size and large nutritional value is perfect for adults as well as children.

When Haines advised all the moms out there to join a play group to meet other moms and to make room for a little “me” time, all the moms out there tried not to think of their own deteriorating social lives.

As Haines held up a copy of a book that had clearly been printed at the local Kinko’s, all the moms out there tried not to think about their own secret goals that had been delayed by motherhood. The host of the talk show then told Haines that she looked “great doing it,” before wrapping up the interview. All the moms out there reminded themselves that they looked great—and not just for a mom—before digging into a pack of gummy fruit snacks.
