“There’ve been so many great professors and classes,” Kaufman said. “As a classics major, I learned so much about ancient texts and cultures. Don’t know shit about Dylan, though.”

“I’ve been focusing on courses in the classics department for–what, two years now?” he added. “But the thing that always gets me is, if we’re studying classics, where’s the Floyd?”

“I mean, who are we kidding here? Virgil and Homer are great, and instrumental in the formation of the genre. But you know who the real groundbreakers are? Clapton. Santana. Hendrix. I just wish my professors would give credit where credit’s due,” the senior said.

Kaufman will begin pursuing his masters at the University of Edinburgh’s Classics Department in the fall, where he hopes to finally get around to hearing Zeppelin IV.
