“I just checked Google Maps, and it looks like it’ll only take me about 16,000 minutes to get from my room to the Ratty," Ulchit said, drawing a line from her home just outside Greensboro, North Carolina to the dining hall. “I would’ve expected it to be much farther based on what I remember from my visit last year."

“15,925 minutes is not that bad of a walk," Ulchit continued, calculating that she would need to budget about 11 days of walking time for every meal between classes. “On the downside, it’s 15,932 minutes to the V-Dub, so I probably won’t make it up there too often.”

“I feel pretty lucky, because I’ve heard of freshmen with a 30,000 or even 40,000 minute walk to the Ratty," Ulchit added, searching the route for shortcuts to save her time. “But even if it’s snowing, my walk should only be 16,500, maybe 17,000 minutes, which is pretty great."

At press time, Ulchit noted that everybody in her hall was from the same city.
