“After working through numerous versions in committee to make sure this bill reflects our values, we’re excited to finally present it,” said Senator Ted Cruz (TX). “We’re hopeful that this bill will win bipartisan support, despite baldly partisan attacks by some Democrats attempting to characterize it as racist.”

The bill has attracted widespread support from Republican Senators as well as scathing criticism from Democrat leadership. “If this bill makes it to the House, my Republican colleagues should be prepared to discuss reducing the size of the X,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-12).

This bill is the latest in a series of recent Republican proposals, including a military spending bill that is just a loaded gun.
