“Yesterday@Brown will contain critical information about the exciting events and opportunities here on campus,” explained Janice Lapine, a department spokeswoman. “These include expired fellowship applications, missed essay competitions, overlooked career fairs, and bulletins about prominent speakers who have already come to campus and given inspiring talks at the Watson.”

Lapine noted that students would be able to customize the newsletter to fit their own interests. “This way,” she continued, “the student body can get relevant notifications about the specific campus offerings that they would have found completely formative…had they gone.”

“Previously, students would have to get this information from their more engaged friends, walking by outdated posters in Faunce, or even accidentally opening an old Today@Brown. Now, all that info will be in one place!”

The University also announced that every edition of the newsletter would feature Elizabeth Warren’s 2019 Lecture, because “You really dropped the ball on that one.”
