Juniors and some mid-year transfers will pitch tents provided by the Office of Residential Life among metal garbage cans and loose trash on the grass of Wriston. Residential Life also provided plastic, wood boards, and tarps for surplus students to create shacks and lean-tos.

“We have more students coming back then beds available, so we had to assign some students to Wriston Camp,” said associate director Thomas Forsberg, explaining that residents will be able to use the Sharpe Refractory bathrooms during operating hours and controlled fires will be allowed in metal garbage cans provided by the University. “Just to be clear, if any group of excess students pitches a four-person tent, all those students will have to pay a suite fee.”

Amenities will include a lounge and kitchen area consisting of a campfire and some plastic chairs. Addressing security concerns, the office hired a man named One-Eye to sit on a rocking chair and look out for thieves during the night

At press time, Residential Life reaffirmed that no more than thirty percent of the rising junior class will be allowed to live off campus next year.
