“I feel like a congressional internship would be a great experience if I decide to go into politics someday,” explained the 53 year-old Assemblyman, “and even if it’s all I do, it would be super cool to see how legislating works.”

Gordiano was student council vice president at Cranston High School East, which he hopes will be seen as leadership experience in his application. He explained that the fond memory of student council inspired him to work in government, but he was too busy with work and the Rhode Island Assembly to start.

“I’ve been a successful used car salesman in Cranston for thirty years, which shows that I have people skills and I’m organized,” Gordiano said confidently while reviewing his resume, “It’s probably not even worth it, but I guess I’ll mention that I’m a Rhode Island Assemblyman, just to show that I have an activity outside of work that I’m passionate about.”

At press time, Gordiano was asking Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo for a letter of recommendation.
