“I wrapped up my summer courses this morning,” stated second-year Samantha Li as she woke up from her first genuine nap in four months. “My fall classes started half an hour after my last final, so I didn’t have time to change into my pajamas. I guess my jeans were pretty comfortable.”

“Sure, I couldn’t go home or see my family, but I did have time to imagine their faces before I climbed into bed, which was sort of a vacation,” remarked Li as she turned off her alarm after 20-minutes of lying in bed, 10 of which she’d spent trying to fall asleep. “It’s been nice to decompress a bit. Though I have to admit, I’m already looking forward to my next nap, which will probably be sometime in December.”

At press time, other summer students were wrapping up the hour-long internships they’d found to fill the gap between semesters.
