“That play was so pretentious,” Trubbly scoffed, making fun of the piece’s loose plot line like she is not part of the four-person cast of an upcoming play called “The Supernatural Musings of a Timepiece.” “Like, we get it, you think you’re better than everyone! So annoying.”

Sources added that, although she is currently rehearsing a play in which the actors wear construction vests and jog in place the entire first act for no reason, Trubbly was criticizing “Moons, Roots, Poison” for not communicating a strong sense of place through its set.

“They completely missed the mark. It didn’t make sense at all!” Trubbly concluded, apparently forgetting that, in her upcoming role, she will be delivering a five-minute-long monologue about the windswept fields of Iowa while two of her castmates participate in a boxing match behind her. “I’m so over theatre at this school.”

At press time, everyone agreed that we can make fun of anything Ensemble! does.
