Following their seasonal exodus from campus, avid users of the popular forum Spotted@Brown have begun to post blurbs about their favorite – and only remaining – companions: their cats.
Francesca Simons ’12 unabashedly admits to posting several times about her precious ginger tabby, Cinnamon. On Friday, July 9th, 7:08 p.m. she posted, “I spotted you... Cinnamon, looking so cute on my kitchen counter, but I never mustered up the courage to come and play with you. You scratched me last time and I don’t know if I could handle the rejection again. Give me a purr?”
Deandra Louis ’11 responded to Simons’ post at 10:24 p.m.: “I spotted you... 7:08 p.m. Just go for it with him! You may have faced rejection in the past, but you’ll never get what you want if you don’t try again.”
Within the first few weeks of the academic calendar, members of the community are expected to cease feline-related posting and resume their regular nightly ritual of scanning the pages for mentions of themselves.
