Achievement Award on Resume Secretly From Sixth Grade

Published Friday, May 2nd, 2025

Recent reports have revealed that a college student’s undated achievement award on their resume is secretly from sixth grade.

“I don’t see why the when and how are so important, really. My Exceptional Achievement Award should be impressive at any age,” said Maxwell Brook ’25 while submitting an application for Senior Level Quantitative Analyst. “I was really on it when it came to close reading and understanding the theme of books like The Giver and Holes. And don’t even get me started on fractions—I had those locked down.”

“I honestly think it’s still relevant. Sure, it was a decade ago, and I was eleven, but Ms. Stephens said it was a very impressive accomplishment,” Brook continued, citing his high school service job as a full-time summer internship. “My mother was so proud of me, and I think these companies should be too.”

At press time, listing your GPA from middle school was not technically a lie.
