Arrested Game Theory Professor Excited For Real Life Prisoner’s Dilemma

Published Friday, October 31st, 2025

As an alleged accomplice to murder, arrested game theory professor Jeffery deScissors is excited to face his first real life prisoner’s dilemma.

“Finally! I waited my whole life for this moment!” shouted deScissors as he was dragged away in a pair of handcuffs. “Can you tell me what the payoff matrix would be if I cooperate or relent?”

“Hmm, in a theoretical context, it’s always better to deny your involvement in the crime,” deScissors explained to the interrogating officer by scratching a 2 by 2 box into the table. “But then again, I do trust my partner to do the right thing… I don’t know. I guess I will plead… Not guilty? Or no. Guilty? What did my partner say?”

At press time, a law professor was excited to test the limits of the Second Amendment.
