CCB Apologizes For Scheduling Senior Flatbread Night On Eleventh Eve Of Saturnalia, Ancient Jubilee Of The Romans

Published Friday, October 29th, 2021

The University’s Class Coordinating Board has apologized for scheduling its Senior Flatbread night on the Eleventh Eve of Saturnalia, Ancient Jubilee of the Romans.

“We want to extend our sincere apologies for our oversight in scheduling,” said CCB President Holly Peterson. “The original date of our event was not accessible to citizens of Rome who choose to celebrate the time-honored feast of Saturn, lord of the harvest. We apologize for the oversight.”

In its email, CCB vowed to do better moving forward, in the name of the Senate and Praetorian Guard of the Empire.

“We will work to be more inclusive, and we have rescheduled Flatbread Night so that it will not overlap with the feast, its associated chariot races, or the feeding of Tiberius Gracchus to the lions,” wrote Peterson in the campus-wide email. “As always, your feedback is what helps us grow. Amor Vincit Omnia.”

At press time, CCB apologized for scheduling its screening of Inside Out on the Ides of November.
