In an email sent to undergraduates yesterday morning, CareerLab announced they would be holding a workshop on how not to blame CareerLab for not getting a job.
“We’re here to prepare you for the trials and tribulations inherent to making post grad plans,” said Matthew Donato, the Director of Careerlab. “With this specific workshop, we want to prepare you for when you realize we haven’t prepared you enough to get a job. There will be pizza.”
According to those in attendance at the workshop, Donato went over a detailed slideshow that listed other people and things you could put blame on for not having secured a job at this point.
“We’ll be emailing all these slides out to you after the workshop,” Donato told the audience. “We just ask that you exercise what you’ve learned here and don’t call us out on anything or send us any angry replies.”
At press time, Donato was passing around brightly colored handouts that just said “We’re very sorry but our job is hard too, you know : ( “
