Local feline Princess Whiskers passed away last Thursday leaving the entirety of her fortune to her human owner, Maxwell Cooper.
Cooper found his inheritance deposited at the foot of his bed that morning. Among the deceased’s property was a scratching post, three balls, an ounce of catnip, and a bent pipe cleaner.
The neighbors expressed confusion at Whiskers’s choice. “I mean, you have to respect the departed’s wishes. But to neglect her family like that in her will makes you wonder what was going on in Princess Whiskers’s head,” Lucia Johnson said.
“It’s a little strange for a cat to do something like that, but she always was a bit of a character,” said Johnson. “She just loved her human so much.”
Many neighbors have expressed disappointment in Whiskers’s decision. Said Johnson, “What a waste. He won’t know what to do with all those perfectly good mice toys.”
