English Nonfiction concentrator Jeanette McDoon is desperately trying to think of just one more anecdote to write about from her weekend in NYC. “Oh god, please, please. I can’t write about the bridges or hotdogs or pigeons anymore,” lamented McDoon as she tried to think of a single aspect about her trip that she hadn’t already regurgitated in a previous essay. “I just need one more stupid idea. I already wrote about my ferry ride, but maybe I can write a piece about how it felt to see the Statue of Liberty from the ferry? No, I know! I’ll write about the taxi ride I took to get to the ferry!” At press time, McDoon was booking a trip to Los Angeles so she would have something else to write about next semester.
