According to a new LinkedIn job update posted for his whole network, freshman Lucas Grove is “extremely excited” to intern at Stop and Shop this summer.
“I have been wanting to share the good news for quite a while now,” read Grove’s post, accompanied by a screenshot of his offer letter. “I am elated to be a part of the leading grocery retailer in northern Rhode Island, learning all the ins and outs of the supermarket industry, from stocking shelves to pushing around shopping carts."
Grove took the opportunity to share how tedious the internship search was for him as a freshman, but that ultimately Stop and Shop will give him the advanced knowledge and skills he will utilize throughout his whole professional life.
“As I move forward in my career, I just want to express how eager I am to meet and learn from the Stop and Shop team. I would not have it any other way,” continued Grove, waiting on offers from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. “I also want to take this opportunity to thank my friends and family for their constant support. It is because of your encouragement that I am a proud #StopAndShopIntern.”
At press time, a sophomore was pleased to accept an archivist position at his grandma’s garage.
