Friend Going Abroad Next Semester Lingers by Door

Published Friday, December 16th, 2022

Reminiscing on his precious last moments at Brown, Eli Parker ’24, who is going abroad next semester, was reportedly lingering by the door. “Well, I guess this is it. This time it isn’t just bye for one winter break. It’s bye for the length of eight winter breaks. In T-24 days, I will be trading Providence for the faraway land of Barcelona. So long, old friend,” said Parker to himself, pausing with his hand on the doorknob of his Littlefield double. “It’s not easy to leave, but they say it’s harder for the ones who stay. Goodbye wood chair that rocks back just a little bit, goodbye window shade that doesn’t completely close, goodbye weird greenish-gray mattress. Don’t change too much while I’m gone!” At press time, Parker’s roommate was thrilled that Parker was finally gone.
