Giving a rushed disclaimer as a 15-second commercial played before the YouTube video he was showing you, Corbin Wellington made super sure that you knew this was just an ad and not the actual video.
“Oh shit,” Wellington said as he brandished his phone in front of your face. “This isn’t the thing, this is just an ad. Sorry!”
Frantically trying to skip the ad, Wellington didn’t let up on ensuring that you understood that this was a commercial for Squarespace, not the music video he’s been telling you to watch.
“It will start in a sec,” Wellington assured as the ad continued. “It’s so good. But this is just an ad, not the video. The real video is going to start after this, the ad, which is playing right now.”
After the ad wrapped up, Wellington went on to eagerly watch your reaction to every single second of the video.
