In a heart-warming scene out of Fox Point this past weekend, Clea Guthrie upgraded her friend Tessa to ‘best friend ever’ status with the acquisition of her car.
“Tessa and I have always been friends ever since we lived in Keeney freshman year together. But this year, I don’t know, something is different. I just feel like she’s my favorite person and I can’t go anywhere without her,” Guthrie said as she mentally planned out a long grocery run plus a few errands downtown in Tessa’s 2015 Subaru. “I’m so glad we’ve maintained our friendship for four years, just to have it deepen so unexpectedly as seniors. That’s my girlie!”
“I keep telling her we should do a little weekend getaway,” Guthrie continued dreamily as she googled ‘best places within 100 miles of Rhode Island.’ “It’s just so fun sitting in that passenger seat watching my girl do what she’s best at — which is driving me around places. And also, I think she plays the trumpet or something? I’m not sure, but I’ll totally ask about that on our road trip!”
At press time, your friend whose summer house burned down fell in the rankings precipitously.
