Area man Rodney Kleeson was devastated to discover that his new Garfield chest tattoo distracts from his Jon half-sleeve and Odie tramp stamp.
“Yeah, the Garf tat was supposed to be my crown jewel—my pièce de résistance, if you will,” Kleeson explained, pulling off his sweat-stained graphic tee to reveal a hairy chest emblazoned with the orange face of America’s most cynical feline. “Notice how my nipples are kinda his eyes? I was really into that design choice, but its intensity distracts from my other equally noteworthy tattoos.”
“My Jon half-sleeve is such a classic, but now it’s totally underrated,” Kleeson continued, his flexed bicep inked up with a full-body depiction of Jon Arbuckle in his characteristic blue shirt and brown pants. “People only want to talk about my Garfield tattoo, and Jon falls by the wayside. Kinda like in the comics, actually.”
“This one’s more subtle, but I always wear low-waisted jeans so his little yellow head can peek out,” Kleeson added, turning around and carefully pulling down his pants so his tramp stamp of Odie the dog was fully visible. “Historically, this has been the first thing people notice when I’m naked. And they love it! But now, compared to the Garfield tattoo, the Odie’s just less sophisticated. Kinda like… in the comics.”
At press time, Kleeson hiked up his pant leg to reveal a tiny Nermal stick-and-poke.
