Geneticist Likes To Think We All Have Some Of God's DNA In Us

Published Friday, October 30th, 2015

Genetics researcher Cheryl Kohn chooses to believe that everyone on Earth has at least a little bit of God’s DNA hidden somewhere in their genetic code. Kohn thinks that it would be nice if that particular gene is the one that makes people smile.

“It just seems like something He would do,” said Kohn, noting that even bad people must have at least a little in common with God on some cellular level. “Humans share 50% of their genes with bananas, so it’s not too crazy to think we might also share at least some with the Lord our Savior.”

Kohn, whose research focuses on genetic predisposition towards heart disease, considers it worthwhile to believe that everybody’s got some God in him or her; it makes her happy to picture Him picking out a particular genetic sequence for everyone.

Kohn refused to entertain the idea that God would’ve let the devil sneak any of his DNA in there.
