In what was reportedly an incredibly uncomfortable conservation, first-year Amelia Hansley impulsively responded with “Slay!” after her friend shared news of a family car accident.
“Look, it just slipped out of my mouth – I obviously didn’t mean it,” cried Hansley, immediately regretting how absorbed she has become in TikTok vocabulary. “Obviously I know a car accident is not a slay! TBH it’s kinda cheugy, so it can’t be a slay. I just feel so bad and wish people would see the situation from my POV.”
“But like c’mon, everyone survived – let’s BFFR and cut the tears,” continued Hansley, after volunteering to drive her unsettled friend to the hospital to see her family because she did not want to have FOMO. “Ooh, your family should seize the opportunity and make a ‘story time’ video. It will go viral, no cap – literally so perfect for the sad girl summer aesthetic.”
At press time, Hansley was suggesting her friend’s mom make an OOTD video in her hospital gown because that outfit ate and left no crumbs.
