Calling cornish game hen perfect for an easy family dinner, sources confirmed that host of cooking show “Miranda Meals Now” was continuing the program like she didn’t just cut her finger off.
“I’m going to let you in on my little trick—cut a whole lemon into quarters and stick it right in the middle of the hen for some yummy citrus bite”, the Food Network chef explained loudly, using her finger stub to squeeze lemon juice over the animal carcass.
“Next we’re going to chop up a couple cloves of garlic to add some flavor. Don’t you love the smell of garlic? Absolutely delicious. Give me a minute while I clean the lemon juice off my hands with this paper towel!”
Sources report that Miranda laughed good-naturedly as small potato wedges fell through the gap in her fist made by her missing finger, waving at the camera as the show cut to commercial break.
“Let’s cook this beauty right now because I cannot wait to take a bite,” Miranda said when the show returned, putting an oven mitt over her now four fingered hand with a small bandage wrapped around the inch left of the lost finger. “You know, this show has taught me that no matter how easy the meal is to prepare, taking on any challenge in the kitchen is brave. I commend all you cooks out there watching and hope that you’ve found this meal as rewarding as I have.”
At press time, a pale Miranda could be seen wrapping her whole hand around a fork and forcing a smile as she took a bite of her pinkish hen.
