Ho ho ho! It’s the best time of the year to invest in a retail property, so I’m coming to town and looking for a three bed, two bath townhouse with space to entertain.
Just because I can see you when you’re sleeping and know when you’re awake doesn’t mean I know everything there is to know about the Fort Lauderdale housing market, so I’m going to be working with my realtor, Janet, to find a summer home.
You better not cry, you better not pout, during the home inspection because I’m not opposed to a fixer-upper, even though Mrs. Claus would prefer move-in-ready. We’re looking for a property with a two car garage since I’ll need it to fit both my sled and up to eight reindeer. A backyard with a shed would be a bonus, since I’ll also need room for my infinite magical workshop.
I’m going to be making a list and checking it twice, ideally in a home office. Style-wise, I’m a fan of 1600’s Bavarian cabins surrounded by fir trees and blanketed with glimmering powdered snow, and Mrs. Claus wants mid-century modern.
Our budget is $350,000, but we can push that if we find something we really like. I’m not willing to sacrifice on location because we’re also looking for a strong school district where we can enroll hundreds of elves.
It’s a buyer’s market for goodness sake, so I’m looking forward to seeing what Janet can find for us!
