Sources report that Instagram account @2NYCFoodieBros is just all your favorite foods cut in half.
“As devout foodies, we wanted to highlight all the unique meals that we discover every day,” said account owner Mike Green, scrolling past a picture of himself holding up a juicy double cheeseburger cut into two pieces. “But we ended up getting more engagement by posting pictures of all your favorite foods cut in half.”
“Grilled cheese, baked ziti, hot dogs — if it’s your favorite, we’ll post a picture of it cut in half,” continued Green, editing a stylized cross-section of a bagel sandwich with lox and cream cheese. “We like to take pictures of the inside of foods because we feel it tells a unique story.”
“It’s not just enough to post pictures of a cheeseburger and fries taken from overhead anymore,” added Green, slicing a chocolate chip cookie in half so he could get a picture of the inside. “Now to really get the likes, we have to post close-up cross-sections that show every morsel of the inside.”
At press time, Green was taking pictures of your favorite foods on little plates.
