Intense T-Ball Game Tied Fun-Fun In Bottom Of The Ninth

Published Friday, December 5th, 2014

According to various sources at the peewee baseball field in Holberry Park, an intense T-ball game between the Green Hornets and the Mighty Cubs is currently tied fun-fun in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Sources confirm that the Cubs took an early lead in the second inning when first baseman Wendy Summers saw a pretty butterfly and chased it into the outfield, having so much fun that she smiled and waved at her parents in the bleachers.

The Cubs extended their lead in the fourth inning when their most fun hitter, Pablo Perez, had fun by putting his forehead on the end of a baseball bat and spinning until he got dizzy and fell over laughing.

“They thought they could run away with this one,” said Hornets head coach Bucky Lauderdale after Perez skipped back to the cheering Cubs dugout. “But then Jimmy and Elaine started picking dandelions for each other and laughing louder than any of the players on the other team. Oh no, the Hornets don’t give up that easy.”

“I like playing baseball with my friends!” added Hornets left-fielder Paige Macdonald as she picked her nose and hiccuped at the same time.

Momentum shifted in favor of the Hornets in the top of the seventh inning after Mrs. Peterson brought a cooler filled with oranges and Capri Sun for the Hornets to have as a snack, this bringing the score to a tie.

“Both teams have been playing some incredibly fun baseball,” said Ralph Morrison, Hornets head coach and father of the third baseman. “Even Bonnie had a little fun when she wore her glove as a hat, and we usually don’t expect much fun from Bonnie. This game could go either way.”

At time of press, both teams shared a walk-off hug before going to get ice cream together.
