"It Just Doesn't Make Any Sense," Reports Expositional Character Before Summating Events Of Every Episode

Published Friday, February 5th, 2021

Shaking his head in confusion with an exasperated sigh, the go-to expositional character in crime procedural NCFBIS complained that the case just didn’t make any sense, immediately before summarizing the events of every prior episode.

“We know she was having an affair with her psychologist and frequently left the city to see her estranged daughter,” said Officer Jim Greene, conveniently paraphrasing the season-long arc that has been pointing to the inevitability of this exact moment for weeks. “But there were clear signs of struggle at her home and we just discovered that the goodbye note isn’t in her handwriting.”

“Then we finally tracked down her phone, only to find it abandoned on a park bench in an area we aren’t sure she’s ever visited, with multiple eyewitness reports claiming that someone resembling her daughter placed it there,” Greene elaborated, making abundantly clear what happened in the previous episode and hinting at where the show is headed. “How can this be?”

At press time, Officer Greene was asking his partner to just help him make sure he has everything straight after each new discovery.
