Midterm To Feature Mid-Midterm Midterm

Published Friday, March 7th, 2014

Students taking ECON0110: “Principles of Economics” were dismayed to learn yesterday that there will be a mid-midterm midterm in class in the middle of the upcoming midterm exam.

“With a course that has three midterms, students tend to slack off, thinking they’ll just do better on the next midterm," explained Professor of Economics Rachel Friedberg. "Hopefully the mid-midterm midterm will solve this problem.”

Many students reported that studying for the mid-midterm midterm added another level of stress to studying for midterms. “It’s always hard to study for mid-midterm midterms,” said Andrea Stevens ’16. “The key is to take more study time in the middle of your study time."

Students speculated that the mid-midterm midterm will cover roughly half of the material from the first half of the upcoming midterm. “It’s like studying the same thing, but different,” explained Craig Ballow ’17. “Because they’re going be asking us questions on the same subject, but in the middle of the exam, so it makes it way more difficult.”

“It feels like we just had a mid-midterm midterm,” he added. “But I guess that’s just the way it is with mid-midterm midterm season. I wish it didn’t overlap with midterm season.”
