A new study released by the Center for American Progress found that if you post a Snapchat story with a socially conscious filter, you don’t need to vote. In fact, you’ve actually done enough social activism for the rest of your life.

“Researchers have found that posting a Snapchat story with a filter actually critically shapes political outcomes,” Political scientist and theorist John Sanderson remarked. “Really, if all of your political participation and activism take the form of social media posts, you have no reason to consider changing your behavior in any way.”

“This new generation is the generation that is going to make a difference in United States politics. And they’re going to do it by publishing humorous photos on Snapchat stories that simultaneously show how much they care about current events.”

At press time, Beto O’Rourke was virtually guaranteed the presidency.
