Obama Figures That, All Things Considered, He’ll Still Probably Get a Monument

Published Friday, September 5th, 2014

Despite failing to bridge compromises between Democrats and Republicans in Congress, deploying controversial military drones, making minimal effort to curb the discriminatory war on drugs, and recently engaging in military action in Iraq, Obama supposes that he’ll still probably have a monument erected in his honor at some point.

Obama stated that, despite his difficulties as president and his inability to unify the nation the way he once promised to, “I think it’s safe to say that, as a mostly effective President of the United States of America and our nation’s first black president, a monument will be built for my legacy."

According to his calculations, Obama claims that he has met the standard amount of achievements to qualify for a monument.

“All things considered, I’m still a Nobel Prize winner," said Obama. “I think that probably earns me some kind of monument.” Obama went on to say that his monument might not be the biggest or flashiest one, but the Affordable Care Act has to count for something.

Obama commented that, if nothing else, he would have to be commemorated for finding and killing Osama Bin Ladin.

The president added that, “People really hated Bush, but he definitely has a plaque in Texas at least.”

Obama added that he was pretty confident his name would make it into most American history text books, too.
