She’s probably known for a while. She’s always trying to catch my eye, which makes me think she’s pretty aware of the situation. Sweetie, you could tell her, but it’s not gonna, like, surprise her or anything. I just want you to be prepared for her not to react too dramatically.
Of course, you can talk to Grandma about anything. In fact, she wants you to! But this? This is something she definitely has known for quite some time. She probably hasn’t mentioned it to you because she’s waiting for you to tell her yourself. It’s very sweet of her, actually.
She’s in her 80s, so she’s seen a lot. This is nothing compared to some of the shit she’s pulled in her life. Believe me, she knows and it doesn’t make her think of you any differently. Oh, honey, I know you’ve been thinking so much about breaking the news to her, and I just wanna make sure you know that she’s most likely already aware. When you’re as old as her, you’ll probably know all sorts of things too.
