Sources report that one man recorded on a Big Bang Theory laugh track is just screaming. Viewers noticed the shrieking man during an episode that aired on CBS Thursday night.
“At first, he didn’t really stand out amongst the usual chuckles, chortles, and guffaws that the showrunners play to highlight situational humor,” recalled viewer Janie Oliver. “But, by 10 minutes in, it was pretty obvious that one particularly loud dude on there was just screaming.”
“These weren’t cries of joy,” Oliver clarified. “Every time a character got up to some humorous antics, this man was hollering like he was in serious trouble. His shrieks got more and more intense, until this single shrill man’s was the only voice I could make out.”
“At some point,” Olivier continued, “his death cries converged on a single primal scream that just kept on going, scene after scene.”
By the end of the episode, the blood-curdling screams had given way to an eerie silence.
