Philosophy student Zachary O’Connor is thrilled that some girl he’s seeing finally wants to discuss the long-debated “what are we?" question.
“Oh, Emma? We hook up and get meals, but we’ve never engaged in metaphysical inquiry,” O’Connor explained, sending a GIF of an exploding brain in response to Emma’s anxious message. “That’s why I’m so hyped that she’s texting me about it!”
“She says she’s started thinking about it recently and now it’s stressing her out? Get in line with the rest of the philosophical tradition,” O’Connor laughed while texting Emma, ‘I’ve had this conversation with so many people this semester lol.’ “I have some friends who are really interested in these topics. Maybe they can participate in our discussion!”
“Hmm, she stopped replying. I guess she’s just thinking really hard!” O’Connor said, after sending a text that read, ‘Btw we definitely won’t be able to work it out, but that’s why conversations like this are so fun!! Also I know a few guys who would love to join if you’re into that…’
