Saying that he knew a lot of people were watching and it only seemed fair, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck refuses to throw a second touchdown to any particular receiver until everyone on his team has gotten the chance to catch one.
“I’m sure Coby [Fleener] will have plenty of other opportunities to catch touchdowns,” said Luck, who declined to throw what would’ve been the veteran tight end’s second score when Fleener was open in the endzone, electing instead to take a sack for a loss of eight yards. “But think of everybody else! It’s great to catch a touchdown, and it seems unfair for him to hog all of them."
Though they admire his sense of team play, Colts coaches are frustrated with Luck’s decision-making. “Luck’s thrown four touchdowns to four different receivers, which is great,” said Head Coach Chuck Pagano. “But there have been plenty of points left on the board. This is no way to win football games!"
Pagano is also working on getting Luck to stop passing to the other team’s defensive players, no matter how much they say they appreciate it
