In a familiar scene out of your Thanksgiving dinner, your grandpa was still referring to all female physicians as “woman-doctors,” but really, there’s no point in arguing over this one.
“You know his sister was a woman-doctor, which, back then, you didn’t see so many of,” he said, setting off alarm bells in the minds of everyone at the table. “And you know, the women-doctors back then weren’t really doing too much in operating rooms—their nerves, I expect.”
“On the way here, it was a lady-pilot on the plane, which, well, let’s just say I hoped she knew what she was doing,” your grandpa added, baiting every single niece and granddaughter to correct him. “It ended up being fine though, no crashes, so that just goes to show, girls, you can do anything a man can do,” he concluded, even though nobody had suggested otherwise.
At press time, your grandpa was calling Taylor Swift “an impressive female businessman.”
