Reports from the Providence Performing Arts Center have indicated that it’s really hard to tell when “Behind the Curtains,” a curtain-themed play, is actually finished.
“And that’s curtains everybody!” shouted lead actor Anthony Bridges right before the first intermission of the play. “It’s over! We’ve shut the curtains on this play! Go home!”
“Well, I got up to leave, but then the curtains opened. So I went back to my seat because I thought the show was back on, and then they closed the curtains again. I just sat there for like 45 minutes, waiting for them to come back out,” grumbled an audience member, who by that point was the only person left in the theater. “At this point, I’m just gonna wait ’til they come back out or the lights go off.”
At publishing time, it was really easy to tell when this article was over.
