Report: Jack Johnson Mailroom Playlist Reserved for Rainy Days

Published Friday, December 1st, 2017

Sophomore Rick Dale found that the mailroom reserves its Jack Johnson playlist exclusively for rainy days. In anticipation of last week’s storm, the mailroom allegedly queued up ten hours’ worth of soft rock and acoustic jams to really set the mood while people picked up their packages.

Dale recalls that he found himself humming along to “Better Together” and “Banana Pancakes” whenever he came to the mailroom on a rainy day, so he began to pay closer attention to what was going on.

In the report, Dale stated that the mailroom workers reportedly even lower their voices to a “dull roar” when calling out names, adding almost a “thunderous” element to the wistful rainy-day café vibe.

“I almost wanted to take out my laptop and start doing work in there, the vibes were so right,” he recalled.
The report also found that when mailroom workers play rap on sunny days, it always seems to be crowded.
