According to sources inside the rental scooter and bicycle company, SPIN has recently released a new method of rentable transportation: a person who picks you up and carries you around.
“At first, I didn’t understand what the guy in an orange shirt was doing sitting on the curb,” stated Jorge Garcia ‘22. “Someone walked up to him after a couple of minutes, and I guess she rented him because he said ‘Ding!’ Then he picked her up and carried her away.”
“All of a sudden, he hoisted her over his shoulder and walked off. At first, I was a little weirded out, but then I was just impressed.”
“I’m thinking of renting someone to carry me up Thayer to CVS,” stated Garcia as he searched the SPIN app for person locations. “It’s too short of a trip for a scooter, but it’s such a pain to walk it yourself. Now that I think about it, SPIN is really filling a gap in the market with these rentable people.”
At press time, the SPIN truck was driving around to pick up and charge their people overnight.
