Senator Takes Brave, Bipartisan Stand Against Human Decency

Published Friday, October 26th, 2018

Calling it one of the toughest decisions of his career, Rhode Island Democratic Senator Floyd Bobbler took a brave bipartisan stand last Tuesday and crossed party lines to vote against human decency.

“I am not going to let partisan politics, or a basic sense of right and wrong, stand in the way of progress for our country,” Bobbler reported after the vote. "There is too much gridlock in Washington nowadays. All it takes is one person to reach across party lines and courageously agree that none of us really care about being kind to everyone.”

“I will stand for what I believe in even if it goes against allegiance to my party,” Bobbler continued, saying that his vote should go to show that compromise is possible even during these divisive times. “It was liberating to break free from partisan boundaries and fight against something I feel strongly about: basic human decency.”

At press time, Bobbler was courageously voting against the concept of objective truth.
