Having trouble talking to men on cold calls and at networking events, sensitive pre-professional boy Colin Shaw has always preferred networking with women.

“That’s just always how it’s been for me,” reported Shaw, looking down at his single painted fingernail. “I can network with men if I have to, but I’ve always felt more comfortable sharing my career aspirations with women and asking about the career paths of women in return.”

“I have one or two men that I’ve networked with that have been really important connections for me, but in general the majority of my connections in the industry are women, and I’m comfortable with it,” added Shaw, while humming “The Circle Game” by Joni Mitchell. “That’s just how I am, I guess. This is me.”

At press time, Shaw only texted his mom, and not his dad, about the interview he got.
