Soft Rock Star Leaves Hotel Room A Little Messy

Published Friday, December 4th, 2015

Sources at a Flint, Michigan Holiday Inn confirmed that Gordon Hoffman, rhythm guitarist of the soft rock band Blush Haven, left his hotel room a little messy after a one-night stay on tour. Promoting Blush Haven’s new EP, Smile Under The Rug, Hoffman brought two or three sober fans back to his hotel room after a show and ended up moving some furniture around and leaving a bit of clutter.

“The room was generally untidy when I got there,” said cleaning staff member Phillip Vance, who discovered Hoffman’s hotel room in a mildly disgruntled state the following morning. “His bath towel was on the floor. There were a couple pizza boxes left out. Some root beer spilled on the carpet, but the stain wasn’t so bad because he laid paper towels over it. It was probably just an accident anyway.”

Vance added, “Must’ve been a pretty fun night.”

Other guests at the Holiday Inn reported hearing radio friendly rock ’n roll playing at a reasonable volume from Hoffman’s room until about 11:45 pm, at which point Hoffman practiced his acoustic guitar for about twenty minutes and went to sleep. Sources also confirmed that the soft rock star looked a little sleepy at the continental breakfast before checking out.

“Gordon is kind of a slob,” said Blush Haven lead singer Lyle Graves, who left his room exactly as he found it. “He rolls around in his sleep and always roughs up the covers or kicks the sheet off the bed. Back in Milwaukee he used the pool at the Best Western and left his swimsuit in the hotel room sink. He sure knows how to have a decent time though.”

At press time, Hoffman was driving Blush Haven’s tour van exactly 6 miles over the speed limit.
