Amber Williams ’24, a student who recently landed a summer internship at a top consulting firm, announced that she is beyond thrilled for her friend who was hired at a local ice cream shop.
“Working at Scoops Creamery will look great on a resume,” exclaimed Williams to her friend as she simultaneously updated her LinkedIn profile with her new consulting gig. “I’m so glad that you found a job you are truly passionate about. You are doing big things, and I’m excited to see you take on the world!”
“Think about all the professional experience you and I will acquire,” pointed out Williams, ranting on about the invaluable skills their jobs will offer them. “I just cannot believe how grown up we are now, having adult jobs and everything. Time really flies, that’s for sure.”
“Also, are you making minimum wage?” questioned Williams before humbly bringing up her $20,000 salary. “With all the money we are both making this summer, we should totally plan a vacation. Perhaps Mykonos?”
At press time, Williams was heard lavishing praise on her roommate who just got hired as a barista at her neighborhood Starbucks.
