Students Flock To Main Green For Nice Weather, To Maybe See Someone Fall Off Aerial Arts Trapeze

Published Friday, April 22nd, 2022

As the weather warmed considerably these past two weeks, students flocked to the Main Green to enjoy the balmy day and maybe see someone fall off the Aerial Arts trapeze.

“It’d be a shame to waste this beautiful day,” said junior Iris Bahr. “I don’t know how you could stay inside on a day like this, where the sun’s finally out and we might actually see someone plummet from the big trapeze.”

Bahr noted that one of the biggest downsides of living in New England is the long winters, during which there are few if any days warm enough for the Aerial Arts troupe to bring their big trapeze to the Main Green, and thus little chance of seeing anyone fall off the big trapeze.

“You wouldn’t believe how quickly nice weather can brighten your day,” said Bahr, planting herself on the Faunce steps and pulling out a pair of binoculars. “When it’s cold, I’m sad, and when there’s a chance someone might fall off the enormous acrobatics death machine, I’m happy. Oh! She’s upside down. That seems risky.”

At press time, students were crowding the Quiet Green to study, chat with friends, and maybe see the Juggling Club make mistakes.
