Investment banking summer associate dishing out thank yous to everyone on LinkedIn, even Gary.
“I am filled with such immense joy and gratitude for the people that I got to call my colleagues and, above all, my family these past 10 weeks” read Amelia Hays’ recent LinkedIn post, before proceeding into four consecutive paragraphs of ‘thank yous’ that even included Gary. “Your guidance, support, and incredible mentorship have been invaluable. When I say I would not be the person I am today without all of you, I wholeheartedly mean it.”
“I’d first like to extend an enormous thank you to my recruiters Timothy Davis and Madelyn Cabot, who made this opportunity of a lifetime possible” continued Hays’ never-ending post, which thanked everyone from her manager to the building’s doorman to the Uber Eats driver that delivered her lunch that one day. “And of course, a very special thank you to you, Gary. Gary, where do I begin? Thank you for pushing me – to be, above all, a better investment banker and a better person.”
At press time, Hays was “thrilled!” to accept her return offer despite it being the most miserable summer of her life.
