Weather reports suggest Summer is going to stick around kind of like a wet towel on the bathroom floor. “As global temperatures rise, the summer season is only going to get longer and longer,” said meteorologist Clarissa Bunano, referring to how much this phenomenon resembles a wet towel left haphazardly in the corner of the bathroom floor, only to linger there for several days. “Summer is getting longer and hotter, and if unmitigated, it could take up almost half the year,” said Bunano, much like when your roommate leaves their wet towel on the floor by the shower to soak in its own juices for weeks on end when they know that if they just hung it up now it would solve the problem immediately. “This is a troubling trend, it suggests humanity could really be in danger,” said Bunano, just like your roommate’s towel will be in danger if it doesn’t get picked up off the floor. At press time, climate experts predict these rainy days are only going to get more frequent, just like how frequently my roommate steps out of the shower and leaves a large puddle on the floor.
