Multiple students have reported that two laundry machines are definitely enough for their 120-person dorm.
“I love that I can always use a washing machine whenever I need to,” exclaimed Joanna Bergen ’24 as she walked downstairs to the laundry room in the basement of her dorm, hamper in hand, ready to use one of the two always-available laundry machines. “It’s nice having so many options! Do I use this one or this one? Oh, shoot, I’m out of Bear Bucks! No worries, though! I love how easy it is to pay for my laundry, and it makes perfect sense that the cost isn’t included in our tuition!”
“I can’t think of a good reason why we would need more than two washers,” exclaimed Bergen as she opened the washing machine door to reveal a pristine wash, not at all full of another student’s soggy sweatpants. “People always make sure to take their clothes out of the machine the moment the cycle is finished. But if they forget, that’s okay! We’re human. Besides, we rarely run into that problem anyways — there’s always a machine available!”
At press time, the Blue Room totally had enough chairs for 6,000 undergrads.
