Early reports show that the local wizard’s most promising apprentice is definitely going to turn evil.
“He’s a classic: too much talent and not enough patience,” said Tim, the wizard’s other, less talented apprentice. “No way is Arathon, The Prodigy of the North going to be content with the simple charms and wards we’re being taught. I’ve already caught him sneaking glances at The Forbidden Tomes and eyeing the Relics of Ancient Evil that the wizard has collected,” Tim said, eyeing a shelf of spider eyes. “It certainly doesn’t help that we’re warned of their great, great power at least once a day either.”
“Arathon, The Prodigy of the North turning evil isn’t even the main problem,” continued Tim, sighing. “It’s the decades-long quest I’ll be forced on just to stop him. Running from ogres, slaying dragons. Something about taking responsibility for the wizard’s mistakes, and all that,” Tim lamented. “Me, I just want to turn lead into gold.”
At press time, Arathon could be seen practicing his evil-villain-speech while clutching a glowing green orb.
