In a press conference last Tuesday, YouTube representative Lily Eastman explained that the video-sharing website wants you to watch America’s Got Talent auditions so bad.
“We’re going to recommend every audition ever to you,” said Eastman. “Freaky magicians, socially awkward singers, beautiful contortionists. That way we can maximize our chances that you might like one.”
Eastman went on to say that no matter what a YouTube user’s watch history is, an America’s Got Talent video will always be featured in your Recommended list.
“Just try one,” begged Eastman, explaining how YouTube ensures that there will always be one America’s Got Talent thumbnail on your screen at all times. “You’ll love it. We’re so convinced you’ll love it, we’ve already made a playlist for you.”
“And we’re going to advertise the hell out of this dog who does tricks. He doesn’t get voted past this round but boy is he fun to watch.”
